Erminio and Orfeo Tessari founded Tessari: a hard-working artisan company specializing in the motor sector. In a very short time, customers began to come to them from all over the Veneto and Lombardy regions for overhauling their engines.

The business expanded to the marine and industrial sector with the acquisition of agencies from international leading companies. The direct availability of industrial engines, as well as the growing demand for energy due to the rapid evolution of the Italian manufacturing industry, convinced us to develop the energy sector and design and build the first generator sets.

This is the year we moved to our current headquarters in Padua. In that period, we began collaborating with important companies, such as AIFO, RAI and SIP, which chose us for our reliability and ability to solve problems. Larger premises enabled us to acquire new agencies and create new internal activities, such as the design and construction of water lifting systems.

We committed ourselves to research and experimentation and created the first systems with engines powered by biogas and alternative gases, coming from the combustion of biomasses deriving from water and sewage treatment plants.

Nicola Tessari, Erminio’s son, joined the company and immediately dealt with the sale of marine engines as well as their service.

We were the first to convert the engines of buses intended for urban and extra-urban circulation from diesel to methane, also providing for the total modification of the vehicles and equipping them with cylinders and safety systems.

Starting in 2000, we began to progressively increase our commitment to a more sustainable future, experimenting with the preparation and testing of generators powered by vegetable oils-biodiesel.
